On 27 October 2026, we replaced the Steam Pass with our cross-platform subscription tiers, Unlimited and Elite. Subscribers now get their subscription features across platforms, including GeoGuessr Steam Edition.
What this means for you?
If you have a Steam Pass: Your Steam Pass is still valid and works as an Unlimited subscription until it expires, at no extra cost. You can use your Unlimited features in Steam Edition and on the web and mobile apps, as long as your GeoGuessr account is linked.
When your Steam Pass expires, you’ll keep free access and can choose an Unlimited or Elite subscription. There’s no automatic charge!
If you have an Unlimited or Elite subscription: You get all your subscription features in Steam Edition. Link your GeoGuessr account when you first launch the game.
If you’d like to subscribe: You can buy Unlimited or Elite on Steam, Web, or iOS/Android, and your subscription works across all platforms. Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel in your account settings.
If you’re new: Steam Edition is free to download, with free Quickplay modes and the Daily Challenge.
